Installation: Download IMT_Snake.jar to the "plugins" folder of ImageJ (or subfolder), restart ImageJ and there will be a new "IMTSnake" command in the Plugins menu, or submenu.
Description:

This plugin helps in extracting the intima-media thickness (IMT) of the far wall of the common carotid artery from the ultrasound images. It uses an anisotropic diffusion approach to avoid the speckle noise, and active contours theory for segmenting the intima-media complex. The final image shows minimum, maximum, area and standard deviation of the intima-media complex selected. An example is shown in the figure below.
